Enquire NowSt John is proud to be the delivery partner for the R U OK? at Work – Conversations in Practice workshop.
This two-hour, face-to-face workshop is designed to strengthen workplace peer support by helping participants recognise when a colleague may be struggling and develop greater confidence in having an R U OK? Conversation.
Built around realistic workplace scenarios and interactive activities, participants practise using the 4 Steps of an R U OK? Conversation: Ask R U OK?, Listen, Encourage Action and Check In.
The workshop is designed for a team or workplace looking to build a culture where people feel connected, supported and empowered to have R U OK? Conversations.
Please note: This session does not qualify participants to provide formal counselling services. The training course teaches skills for informal peer support — not clinical care. All scenarios used are realistic but entirely fictional.
A team or workplace looking to build a culture where people feel connected, supported and empowered to have R U OK? Conversations. No prior training or background in mental health is required — just a willingness to look out for colleagues.
"I left feeling more confident to recognise when somebody may need support and to start a conversation in a meaningful way. The skills are relevant both in the workplace and everyday life, and I would recommend the course to anyone wanting to better support the people around them."

“The R U OK course was excellent and provided a solid foundation for having meaningful check in conversations with others. It gave a clear structure and practical information for approaching what can often be a difficult and sensitive discussion. The content was easy to follow, engaging, and relevant to both professional and personal situations.
The facilitators Mavra and Sara were knowledgeable, approachable, and created a supportive learning environment. The hands on activities helped bring the concepts to life and I particularly enjoyed the role-play exercise, as it provided an opportunity to practise the skills in a safe environment. Without that practical experience, it can be difficult to feel confident navigating these types of conversations. Overall, this course is incredibly worthwhile, providing important skills to support others in just a few hours.”
